Where should I put my Cob Oven?
Up to you. It’s that simple. Depending on your plans for entertaining, how many people you like to hang out with, how BIG the pizza oven is going to be and therefore how many people will you need to entertain. We prepared a site near a tree quite away from our house (we live in a normal suburban house with average size backyard). We built an entertaining deck around the tree to have a functional seating area for people to lounge around on near the Pizza oven. Its not right out the back door – but if you look around you will see plenty inbuilt into the indoor/outdoor areas that come off back rooms.
Does the site need to be level?
No. I mean it helps, but it’s not required to be level at all. Ours was on a slight slope and we just built up our plinth so that was level.
